Don't Give anyone you don't trust implicitly, access to your child.
Always keep your eyes or hands on your child in public places. If you can't grab them, someone else can!
If your child disappears, go to the exits. That is the way the abductor is going to escape.
Never let your child go in a public restroom alone! Ask yourself, can he or she fight off an adult killer? If not, go with them. Your son is at greater risk than your daughter in a public restroom.
Teach your child how to cope without you. How to ask for help and who to ask.
Teach your child that they can hurt an adult that is hurting or stealing them.
