As I sit in my car to wait for my son's school bus, I wait patiently, and I wait with thanksgiving in my heart for I am ever so grateful to our Father for allowing me to be able to wait for him. I wait for him for two reasons. The first reason being, the world in which we live has become flooded with a bevy of crimes and I need to be at my son's bus stop to ensure his safety, through Christ Jesus. As his mother, it is my sole duty to care, nurture and provide for him in every area of his young and precious life. I thank God He has allowed me to work in this capacity and not for man.
As I sit in my car I watch the bees as they land on flowers, buzzing all around. Nature is beautiful and filled with God's majesty. I sit in my car and I watch school kids as they walk home. I am saddened and disappointed as I listen to the conversation that takes place amongst these school-aged children. Vulgarity and profanity have become the norm for the language these children choose to use. The actions of these children are just as bad as the profanity they utter.
Our children are lost. Lost because they have no respect for God, themselves or any one else. They destroy people's properties, they hurt themselves and they hurt each other. Children honestly believe that no harm can ever come to them and they walk freely doing whatever they please regardless of the consequences they must face, but then I think, they've probably never had to suffer any consequences because if they did, I honestly believe they would be different human beings.
These children are blessed to go home to parents, and guardians who shelter, feed and clothe them. At night when it is time for them to rest their precious heads on their soft and warm pillows, they can rest assure and sleep soundly knowing their parents are just a few feet away from them. These children are truly blessed and unfortunately, they don't understand the meaning of being blessed.
Out in the world, across the globe, there are those children who wish they were at home with families who love, adore and care for them. These unfortunate and poor children have been kidnapped, not knowing from one second to the next second if they will ever see their parents and/or siblings ever again. Fear grips their hearts, their minds and their overall being. Their young and precious lives have been shortened with fear and shortened because of evil and hate that has consumed some individual who knows nothing about being loved by God.
Please, let us take a minute every day to pray for all of our lost children; children who have been lost to strangers and children who are lost to the world.
